This coast began to be a hotel area at the end of the eighties of the 20th century, when it became one of the best and more frequented touristic resorts of Majorca, and among the best known in western Europe.

This urban beach is a wide sandy area with fine and white grains, gentle slope, blue, transparent water and posidonia meadow. Dolphins can be seen and it is possible to dive and windsurf.

This beach which is open to the sea becomes dangerous for the anchoring of boats and bathing, when the wind blows from east. However, the navigator who wants to anchor here can do so on a sandy ground at a depth that ranges from four to five metres in front of the coast. The nearest port facilities are located at Port Esportiu Cala Bona, at 0,9 nautical miles.
